recent sucky developments
1. I had a breakdown at Sari's house yesterday morning. the trip is getting long for me.
2. I had to pay US$615 to Malaysia Airlines because my two pieces of checked luggage were a total of 63kg and 34kg overweight. I was charge US$18.09/kg. even after I started crying and becoming more and more confused b/c my bags were the same weight as they were when I left Newark, they didn't take mercy.
3. heading back to New York on 2/27. no stop in Los Angeles.
4. got about 2 hours sleep thanks to the 4 children (belonging to one couple) who nearly gave me several heart attacks while standing up on their seats and jumping through the aisles at 3am.
5. had to deal with bringing in a wood carving through Australian Customs & Quarantine. thank God they let it in.
6. just arrived in Sydney and gonna check out Circular Quay before I can get into my hotel this afternoon, repack my souvenirs bag and take a nap.
7. probably would have been smarter to send my second piece of luggage international freight than pay that fee. looking into what American Airlines will charge me when I am going back home.
